I’m a Business Analyst for BDO stream Business Services Outsourcing. In particular, I deal with the sales general accounting management of a client company in the Energy and Oil sector and manage a small team. The activities of my team are linked to the active cycle from the creation of customer data to invoicing and we also support the other functions of supply, PMI and treasury department for all activities related to the sales of products and credit recovery. We also manage the electronic invoicing process as required by national legislation and manage relationships with the IT function for the implementation and development of the SAP ERP system (SD, FI, MM, CO modules). Among the activities there are also the reconciliation of the GL accounts and preparation of the balance sheet reporting and all supporting documentation for monthly financial statements.

Main tasks and responsibilities: COPA and draft of budget; analysis of production order deviations as well as analysis of company costs through cost centers and deviation of the same from budget; management of discharges of internal activities; analysis of purchases and warehouse stocks; material and customer master data management. Monthly, I carry out checks on invoicing such as checking lease plans, orders and outstanding notes and documents not accounted for as well as VAT control report and journal entries verifications. I monthly monitor the cost of sales and carry out sales analysis on margins by product line/area/customer/business unit etc. Periodically I check the cost of product and the cost of internal labor to update the SAP system accordingly. Quarterly I monitor the warehouse inventory together with the other business units and carry out the related balance sheet entries on changes in stocks, slow-moving and cut-off. In addition, I help in the preparation of quarterly individual and consolidated financial statements according to the national OIC and IAS standards and I translate the Financial Statements, the Notes to the Financial Statements, the Cash Flow Statement and the Management Report into English. I also participate in the CDAs and meetings of the Management Committee as secretary and prepare the minutes in English and Italian languages.In the past I have carried out debt collection duties from foreign customers with related DSO reports and customer ratings; treasury duties such as management of customer collections, transfers to suppliers and withdrawal of passive payments, anticipation of invoices to bank and analysis of cash flows.
