In July I decided to make a change and become an express writer/advisor. It was a simple transition for me from the service receptionist position. I now handle customers wanting routine maintenance done on their vehicle. This could include things like oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, brake jobs, bulb replacements, battery testing, and so much more. My job as an advisor is to make sure the customers vehicles are checked in and completed in a timely manner as well as trying to upsell on services my technicians have recommended. It is my job to make sure the customer had a great experience at the dealership and great service done on their vehicles. I process a lot of different payment options including cash, check, purchase orders, warranty and maintenance plans. I stay very organised and I am very detail oriented. I take the time to make sure things are done correctly so there are little to no mistakes.

I have done various jobs over the year I have been with the company. I started as a Receptionist; greeting customers as they came in and out of the dealership, answered phone calls, directed customers to the correct location within the dealership. Eventually I was trained to schedule appointments for customers needing to come in for any services or repairs. Today I now am in charge of a few different lists; recall lists include scheduling mock appointments and getting correct parts ordered, calling those who have parts in stock, and adding customers to the list and removing if they completed the work elsewhere. I am also in charge of the Special Order parts list; if a customer was recently in for a service or repair and we had to order parts, I go down that list and contact them once their parts are in. I am always asking my manager for customers to call, and for anything I can help with. I am quick to finish tasks.

During this job I drew patients blood, collected different types of specimen samples, processed pick-ups and drop-offs, I created new patient profiles and put lab orders in the computer system, as well as filing orders, answering phones, ordering/organizing and restocking. I was always going above and beyond to make my patients feel as comfortable as they could, it is never easy or fun getting your blood drawn or going to the doctors office. Having a great relationship/attitude with your patients is very important.

Around March 2020 I moved back to Oregon and started at the Eugene location. I did basically all the same things, as well as, around the time COVID hit so we had to go through an extra cleaning process around the whole store. I was not at the Eugene location for very long before going back into the medical field.

I first started at HomeGoods in Stockton California where I learned how to process the shipments that came in. Working in the back room I was taught how to unload the boxes onto big tank rollers and bins, later I would flow the products out onto the sales floor. I was apart of a special crew that worked to improve the overall appearance of the store; helping with organizing and displaying products on tables.
