I perform ongoing individual and group counseling with University of Washington students with a focus on psychoeducation, psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.

Train and lead team of college-age volunteers in teaching intensive physical self-defense curriculum to girls and women at East Boston High School, Orchard Gardens Community Center, Lesley University and other schools and community centers in Boston.

Volunteered as an assistant teacher in self-defense programs, as well as recruited and trained over 15 Northeastern University volunteers.

Serving as the AmeriCorps Safe Schools Fellow for the Safe Schools Program for LGBTQ Students (a joint initiative between the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education), I am responsible for the coordination, logistics, training, recruitment and curriculum design for the statewide GSA Network, which reaches over 300 students, GSA advisors and school administrators in five different regions of Massachusetts. In the 2013-2014 school year, I successfully ran 23 separate regional meetings.I am also responsible for coordinating the GSA Student Leadership Summit, a three-day overnight camp for 50 GSA student leaders throughout Massachusetts. My role at the Summit encompassed everything from recruitment, curriculum design, and reaching out to community partners to training youth staff, facilitating opening and closing ceremonies, and designing evaluations.As the only full-time staff member at the Safe Schools Program for LGBTQ Students, I have also helped institutionalize the program within DESE through strategic partnerships and networking.

A highly competitive program, choosing 40 fellows annually out of a pool of over 600 applicants, the Massachusetts Promise Fellowship is an AmeriCorps program dedicated to building leadership skills and serving the youth of Massachusetts.

Oversaw evening food pantry by managing volunteers, keeping Salesforce records and referring clients to internal services.

Performed direct service in food pantry and advocacy department, provided service referrals, researched Boston-area organizations for resource lists.
