As the Legal Operations Manager for a small but growing firm, I am responsible for managing the Legal Operations Team and the Client Services Team. With regard to Legal Operations, I am primarily responsible for assisting the firm’s Managing Attorney in the execution of operational and strategic decisions specific to the Legal Team. I ensure that the Legal Team and its members are responsive and compliant with internal and external demands, including the development, implementation, and enforcement of performance measurements to include, but not limited to: productivity, profitability, business development, client acquisition and onboarding, compliance, and professional development standards. With regard to the Client Services, I am responsible for directing, leading, and supervising the Client Services Associates toward organizational goals related to revenue and client-base objectives. I seek to continually improve the team members’ technical and practical engagements with clients and prospective clients, ultimately increasing employee confidence and satisfaction, as well as managing our client’s expectations and experience. I am also a member of the firm’s Management Team and an integral part of firmwide initiatives, including playing a significant role in executing Executive Team, Management Team, and Managing Attorney initiatives relating to cross-department operations and functionality to drive efficiency, innovation, and effectiveness of overall firm operations, improving both employee and client experience.
