My life's work is harnessing the power of learning systems to help heal the world. I'm a visionary leader and practitioner-scholar skilled at bringing it all together: strategy, tactics, operations, and impact assessment, all through a lens of relationship rooted in organizing and network theory. Over twenty years in the higher education sector, working always in the ecotone between educational and social sectors. Specializations include public humanities, Liberating Structures, democratically-engaged assessment, Ripple Effects Mapping, faculty development, civic engagement, experiential and community-engaged learning/research, all kinds of teaching, land justice, ecospirituality, and native ecosystem restoration.Current and recent projects include teaching and using Ripple Effects Mapping; leading faculty learning communities around community-engaged learning and research; designing and facilitating a day-long DEIB workshop for deans and associate deans of 24 leading colleges of business in the USA; offering democratically-engaged assessment services for a K-6 experiential learning program; designing poetry writing programs for a small local nonprofit partnering with Black and Indigenous leadership. Current clients include Ivy League, public, and private universities; smaller nonprofits; and a World Bank Fund.
