I have been detail-oriented since I was a kid. I would pay attention to everything around me. The thoughts would form into a scheme through which my brain would process information. But the most fascinating for me were words. I loved reading so much, I would read the books I brought from the library way past midnight so the next day I could go to the library again. I adored authors who created great stories and I would find a phrase or a sentence that puzzled me the most and go for days thinking about it and worshiping the person who created such a beautiful word combination. Riddles, crosswords, and proverbs were my dearest friends. Idioms were little mystery boxes for me and I had to conduct some sort of research to find out their meaning and learn about their history. I also learned how important language is culture-wise. My parents, coming from different countries and different backgrounds, would encourage me to study. I always heard how language bonds people and how it brings the feeling of belonging, the way it impacts one's identity, and the way of thinking. It became my own type of game: to notice the way people speak. Paying attention to the words people choose to convey their thoughts, word order, intonations, their background – would help me build patterns and understand them better. My love for words led me on my career path. I started translating and proofreading. After that - interpreting. Since then, I was a proud interpreter/translator/proofreader. I was successfully doing simultaneous translation and chuchotage. 8 years were bringing me joy and happiness after each and every translation I did. Then I started to realize that I wanted something bigger. I needed to find something different yet aligning with my skills, goals, and personality. I gravitated towards quality assurance. After a year and a half in customer service, I decided to develop new skills. I started learning Python and Data Science. It had been challenging yet exciting. Collecting, analyzing different types of data and its application is an important field that is shaping our future. Later, I started studying Manual and Automation QA theory. Building a new career is interesting and constantly challenging. And I want to succeed in this process.
