About Anna Slage
Hi there! I'm a Riparian Restoration Specialist with the Nature Conservancy and co-founder of the non-profit Rebel West with 8+ years of experience in the field of conservation. I have a B.S. in Wildlife Biology, but my passion is engaging with people to find "nature-based" solutions to common conservation issues on working lands. During my service in Mexico with Peace Corps, I helped create an environmental youth group that encouraged students to practice leadership and project planning to solve environmental issues in their community in la Reserva de la Biosfera Sierra Gorda. Since coming to Western South Dakota, I have shifted my focus to community-based solutions to human-and-wildlife conflicts on small tribal farms. I love working with people and want to empower others to solve environmental issues in a way that benefits communities, agricultural producers, and biodiversity.
