Young People'S Programmer
CurrentI am responsible for developing the creative learning activities, projects, and resources for young people aged 15-25. These programmes create a welcoming place for young people to explore new ideas, develop their creative skills and gain deeper knowledge of further education and career opportunities in the creative sector.• attRAct, a series of free online workshops for people aged 15-19. The monthly workshops are led by professional artists, architects, and other creatives.• Drop in and draw, a monthly drawing workshop inspired by the temporary exhibition programme.• Summer Schools, an intensive week-long course for 16-25 year olds which focus on the historic context of the academy's school.• Young Producers, a project to co-develop events for young people, and to provide an insight to creative careers.• Free late opening for 16-25 year olds, a large-scale event as part of the AccessArt25 initiative.• Internships and work experience, individualised opportunities to develop working relationships and entry routes to the creative sector.As part of a wider team focusing on student initiatives, the Young Artists’ Summer Show champions the importance of creativity and art education for students aged 4–19 across the UK. The annual exhibition is a showcase and celebration of the imagination and creativity of young artists.
