I returned to the Human Geography and Planning Department as a lecturer and PhD candidate (until the summer of 2022, I worked there as a junior lecturer). 2/3th of my time is reserved for my PhD research and 1/3th for education. Both center on geography and education, meaning I mostly teach in the educational Minor and Master's programmes. I am currently determining the topic of my PhD research that will contribute to the section of Geography & Education's research focus on 'Geographical literacy in everyday life and society'. Broadly, I am focusing on young people's geographies and engagement with different perspectives in secondary geography education.

A research internship focusing on examining livelihood activities, developing a socio-economic baseline study and researching perceptions of climate change and degradation for the creation of local ownership of sustainable development.

To circulate rich video material on water and to feed an increasing need for visuals in education, self-learning, policy and local water initiatives.TheWaterChannel undertakes a broader set of activities resulting in webinars, thematic pages, triggering discussions and debate through policy documentation as well as documenting forgotten good practices.In addition supporting other staff members in their work.
