I worked for Otago Radiology (now Pacific Radiology) as a travelling radiographer who would move as required between the Wanaka, Queenstown, Dunstan and Balclutha branches.My sound radiographic technique, patient care, attention to detail and ability to move and work within different teams of radiographers, doctors and nurses made me a valuable asset of Otago Radiology's satellite branches. The workload at the Wanaka and Queenstown branches of increased dramatically over the winter months due to busy ski resorts. This was also the time that I most enjoyed being in Wanaka skiing. My work for Otago Radiology was typically between May and December, which left me free to ski and compete in the European winter from December - May.
