• Manage three-year €129,000 agriculture value chains and development project across four countries, engaging multiple stakeholders including universities, NGOs, governmental agencies, small farmers and their cooperatives,• Conduct field surveys, interviews, focus groups and analysis of qualitative data,• Create policy recommendations on sustainable agroforestry initiatives to improve farmer livelihoods and supply chain sustainability,• Evaluate the political and institutional environment and its effect on gender equality and the efficacy of development programs,• Evaluate impact of Fair Trade, Utz, Rainforest Alliance, corporate social responsibility (CSR) schemes and other value chain innovations in Latin America,• Evaluate impact of Savings and Internal Lending Communities on social capital in Uganda,• Evaluate the effect of private sector development and multiple stakeholder engagement on climate smart agricultural practices,• Participate in CIRAD’s Department of Innovation and the Polytechnic’s Department of Project Management through workshops, meetings and collaborative research,• Communication and dissemination of research results to scientific and non-scientific audiences.

Supervise and conduct post-harvest value chain research on cut flowers and bedding plants in the US and South America,• Reach out to new customers and build partnerships with stakeholders,• Develop a patented natural cut flower preservative which extended the vase life of roses 30% over Floralife ®• Develop a patented natural bedding plant preservative which reduced water stress by 50% over control• Conducted over 150 research trials on cut flowers and bedding plants in Wisconsin, California, Florida and Ecuador.
