Anna took up the role of Interim Programme Director for the Edinburgh BioQuarter in October 2019 to lead the transformation of the Edinburgh BioQuarter on behalf of the BioQuarter Partnership. She is responsible for the process of selecting a commercial private sector partner for the joint venture, developing the masterplan and placemaking strategy that will deliver the partners vision and manage the ongoing commercialisation activity of the BioQuarter’s ecosystem.

Anna took up the new role of Head of Estates Planning in 2018 for the University of Edinburgh Estates Department leading on the strategic planning of the University’s ambitious £1.5b estate development plans across its 5 campus’s.

Anna took up the role of Head of Capital Projects in 2015 responsible for the design and delivery of the University's Capital Projects programme, leading a team of 22 Estates Development Managers and Projects Managers across a programme of £1.1b of projects across the 5 campus's.

Anna took up the role of Estates Development Manager for the College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine in 2006 for 9 years. During this time Anna had the privilege to lead the regeneration and development of the Easter Bush Campus in Midlothian including the design and deliver of its key buildings including the Roslin Institute, Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Charnock Bradley building. She also led on the University's development at the Edinburgh BioQuarter and Western General Campus's including the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine, Anne Rowling Clinic and System Medicine Extension. In addition she led the development of the long term vision and masterplans for the University’s Kings Buildings Campus’s.

Anna joined the University of Edinburgh in 2005 as their first appointed Project Manager.
