I joined Protein Works in 2021, at a time of transition for the brand; a time when our efforts and focus went on repositioning the brand beyond the confines of sports nutrition and towards the broader realm of food. Working with our incredible marketing, product, performance, intelligence, and design teams, we succeeded in launching an impactful and bold rebrand in 2022: a rebrand that involved a shift in our messaging, in our offering, and in proposition; a rebrand that took us from a niche to a mainstream brand. It is true that, in the UK today, there are several brands selling protein powders and functional foods; brand, like us, aiming to capture the mainstream market. But Protein Works is different in three important ways: 1) our commitment to offering consumers value & true nutrition - no smoke and mirror claims or quick-fix promises, 2) our passion for flavour and creating products that are a genuine pleasure to have - products you look forward to enjoying, and 3) our steadfast commitment to market and insights-led innovation. Protein Works is also a fast-growth and dynamic business led by a world-class team. And we move fast! Creating not just ripples, but waves in the world of protein and functional foods.

Protein Pow left a lasting impact on the global health and nutrition landscape, successfully realising its mission to change the way we all think about and use protein powders: not as a supplement but as a food ingredient. This was achieved through various initiatives and products, all designed to popularise healthy protein-enriched snacking and the use of protein powders in cooking. Between its founding in 2012 and my exit in 2022, when Protein Pow's extensive library of original content was acquired by Protein Works, I accomplished several milestones: I conceived and launched our own range of protein powders for cooking, as well as the UK's first refrigerated protein snack bars, securing listings in Tesco, Sainsbury, Holland & Barrett and health food shops nationwide. In addition to publishing original content on our website - turning it into an educational hub visited by millions, I also ran hundreds of cooking workshops and authored three published cookbooks (available in mainstream US and UK booksellers including Amazon, Walmart, and Waterstones).It is a source of immense pride for me that, as now part of Protein Works: a brand committed to taste and innovation in the world of functional foods, I can continue to contribute to build on the mission of Protein Pow by helping more and more people to increase and/or diversify their intake of protein in a healthy, fun, and delicious way!
