As a Career Advisor in the Greater Lafayette Area I connect students to opportunities through career exploration with a number of local employers. As I learn more about each student I begin to better connect them to possibilities they've not considered before.I forged these skills while working in Adult Education. I found my favorite part of the job was helping students answer the question: "What's Next?" By forming close interpersonal relationships with students I figured out what they needed to succeed and learned to work around hindrances they faced. An environment where student success is the main focus is one where I thrive. Working in a university environment and becoming the bridge between students and employers is where I want to be. I want to help students build a pathway to better opportunities, experiences, and lives.
