HistoricVR and Meso teamed up to make a new level for the Kurpfälzisches Museum Heidelberg's Discovery Station (originally created by Meso and showing the Celtic/Roman settlements in what is now Heidelberg). For the 400th anniversary of the seige, the museum wanted a Renaissance version of the city and that is what we built. https://historicvr.com/heidelberg-discovery-station.phpI was mostly responsible for modelling many many buildings. They all had to be placed according to the most accurate maps we had and matching copperplate images made around the time period. There were a lot of buildings but I was helped a lot by tiling textures made by Béla Csampai and some of the more important buildings were replaced by more detailed models, including the Marstall building and Dominikanerkloster, which were modelled by me. I also did some landscape sculpting and set dressing once I had all of the buildings imported.It was a wonderful experience to work on this project, explore a fascinating historical period and learn from experts in this area at Meso and HistoricVR.

I worked as a freelance 3D Artist on Historic VR's Guildford Castle VR project that can be found here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1862880/Guildford_Castle_VR/I worked on this project from a very early stage and learned a lot as it developed, including making lots of trim sheets, experimenting with Houdini and working with photogrammetry data (although most of the assets I made were built from scratch usingmore traditional games art workflows)
