Provided leadership to 165 full-time nursing and ancillary staff, including 14 direct reports made up of Clinical Nurse Managers and Clinical Educators - Successfully project managed the developement and nursing implementation of the Cardiothoracic Unit into Christchurch Hospital-Selected by the CEO and GM of Christchurch Hospital to represent the organisation on the Day of Surgery Project Team(DOSA). DOSA rate increased from 37% to 66% within 2 years-Achieved sign off for interim DOSA area facilitating resource centralisation, reduced length of stay and 'hot bedding'-Prepared and achieved approval for a proposal for change which sought funding to centralise surgical patients in a High Dependency Unit (HDU)-Led implementation of Neurosurgical area review recommendations, achieving approval for significant capex expenditure,which improved environmental layout and enhanced delivery of patient care
