  Sherrard House is a residential facility for young women aged 12-18 years. I actively engaged in supervision, reading and following the policy and procedures handbook. I learned all of the required skills and worked as a team member. I focused on building relationships with young people, using strengths-based approach to build confidence and positivity. I facilitated one on one and group therapeutic painting activity. During these sessions I educated them on the long-term effects of Drugs and Alcohol. I also got the opportunity to work with another staff member reviewing an After Care plan for young person who was about to turn 18.
