Director of Education • Manage education programming for 800+ members, including the annual green building series with Austin Energy• Solicit sponsors programs ranging from small businesses to large corporations • Hire, coordinate speakers• Implement and coordinate the HBA’s first CEU-HQ online educational courses. • Education Committee staff liaison: preparing agendas/minutes, overseeing monthly meetings. • Primary education liaison with the National Association of Home Builders, local HBAs and national instructors. • Produce/ manage HBA Education collateral materials (brochures, flyers, promotional items, etc.). • Maintain and update online education calendar, website text and registration. • Invoice/track payments for instructors and members; maintain and record member designations.Venue Manager for Phillips Event Center • Manage overall operations for event center — Increased event bookings from six to 100+ and revenue from $20k to $200k+ in three years• Promote rental sales to the general public to recruit clientele via email campaigns and sales calls• Recruit vendors to advertise in PEC marketing collateral, participate in PEC open houses• Organize and prepare client site visits, follow-up contacts, contracts, invoices, allocation of payments; order/verify rentals; prepare CAD clients’ event layout• Act as “manager on duty” for events: event set up, AV equipment, vendors, tear down, clean up• Manage janitorial/maintenance staff • Coordinate, set up and solicit at booth showcases for six annual bridal and Latino shows• Plan, organize and facilitate open houses including recruiting 10+ vendors per event• Generate messaging, coordinate and oversee social media & website marketing, TV commercial and print ad production; printed marketing collateral • Maintain a PEC database of 5,000+ corporate and individual names• Serve as liaison with the volunteer PEC committee to explore new revenue and marketing channels.
