Project Description:- Research Focus: Reconstructing and comparing the diet of Common Terns (Sterna hirundo) during the breeding season in the North of the Netherlands.- Methodology: Conducted a comprehensive analysis of wildlife camera footage to observe feeding behavior, followed by the identification of fish species consumed by the terns.- Key Contributions: This project involved extensive data collection, species identification, and the application of various analytical methods to compare diet patterns across breeding sites. The findings contributed valuable insights into the feeding ecology of Common Terns, supporting better management strategies for their conservation.

Project Description:- Research Focus: Identified the most suitable and least labor-intensive coral nursery type for Acropora species, evaluating their health and growth over a 6-month period in St. Eustatius.- Turtle Research: Conducted both land and sea turtle research, contributing valuable data to local conservation efforts.- Global Coral Reef Monitoring: Actively participated in the Global Coral Reef Monitoring Network (GCRMN), assessing the health and status of coral reefs around the island.- Support Activities: Assisted in the installation and maintenance of mooring buoys, ensuring safe and sustainable practices for marine visitors. Provided support to the terrestrial department, helping with conservation activities related to land-based ecosystems.
