• Designed and implemented a global outreach project to improve access to science for people with disabilities as a recipient of the 2018 President’s Prize, a $100,000 award for social change.
• Founder and Director of the SciAccess Conference, an international science accessibility conference dedicated to fostering disability inclusion and diversity in science and the STEM fields. This inaugural 2019.
• Recruited keynote speakers Dr. Temple Grandin, renowned autism advocate and animal scientist, and Anousheh Ansari, the first female private space explorer and CEO of XPRIZE.
• Managed a budget of approximately $75,000, which included over $10,000 that I raised in sponsorship funding and over $14,000 raised through the SciAccess Conference attendee registrations.
• Hired/supervised 3 SciAccess Program Assistants and recruited/managed a conference team of 30 volunteers.

Goddard Space Flight Center

• Working for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as a Level II space weather forecaster
• Monitoring solar activity in order to safeguard NASA robotics missions
• During summer 2016: analyzed solar flare data in order to design a flare forecasting procedure. For this research, my team won NASA's 2016 Orbit Award for Science

• Member of the Corporate Communications team at the Aerospace Corporation through the Brooke Owens Fellowship, which selects exceptional women and gender-minority students in aerospace. Mentored by astronaut Anousheh.
• Wrote an educational space science comic book featuring cutting-edge technology developed at Aerospace Corporation. Conducted a series of video interviews with space science experts.

• Collaborated with Dr. Carol Christian, Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Outreach Project Scientist, and Dr. Antonella Nota, Associate Director of the European Space Agency
• Used HST data to design 3D printed models of galaxies in order to improve accessibility for blind users
• Organized outreach events at multiple locations, including the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

• Worked under a grant from the National Federation of the Blind to make COSI's planetarium more accessible for blind audiences
• Collaborated with international partners to implement an inclusive planetarium show that incorporates 3D-printed tactile astronomy materials

• Organizer of Sensory Friendly Day, a project designed to make COSI more accessible for people with developmental disabilities:
• Supervised the event's science education activities, which reached over 100 children with special needs
• Created original theatre outreach games that teach science while fostering the development of life skills
• Used sign language to play, teach, and communicate with children who are Deaf
• Recruited and trained volunteers; contacted schools and coordinated field trips
• Spoke at an Autism Conference that featured Temple Grandin in order to publicize the event

• Helped teach students astronomy by answering questions, hosting review sessions, and grading assignments for a black holes course

• Worked with CCAPP, the OSU Center for Cosmology and AstroParticle Physics. Supervised by Prof. John Beacom, Distinguished Professor of Astronomy and Physics and Director of CCAPP.
• Collaborated with COSI to design and present a planetarium show in Ohio’s largest planetarium
• Promoted public science learning at numerous community events with COSI Chief Scientist Dr. Paul Sutter
• Writer and co-host of an educational astronomy show titled We Don't Planet. The show can be viewed on space.com and has reached over 35,000 viewers (link to episode list below).
