I am professor of thermal engineering and head of research group, with the main focus on district heating. I see as one of my mission sustainable and smart district heating promotion in Estonia and Europe. As a researcher I am skilled in such research field, as district heating, large heat pumps, district cooling, CHPs, thermal energy storage and energy planning. I have started my academic career and defended my PhD thesis in Riga Technical University (Latvia). After successful working in RTU I have moved to Estonia. During last 15 years I have conducted my research in Tallinn University of Technology. One of my goals is development of our research group, that has already achieved remarkable results with published peer-reviewed papers, implemented scientific projects, defended PhD thesis and highly-motivated academic staff. I am open for cooperation with researchers, experts and professionals in energy field. Let's make our common future of energy sector more environment- friendly and carbon neutral!
