Coordinate the annual budget process for the Energy and Climate Change Special Account, including managing contributions from the Commonwealth, states and territories to fund cross-government policy development projects. Support National Energy Transformation Partnership (NETP) working groups to manage projects and performance reporting.

Assist in the development, delivery and management of government programs. Responsible for program delivery, including assessment of grant applications and contract management, in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Lead the Research Finance Team (4 FTE) to support Swinburne Research and faculties in post-award grant financial management. This includes preparation of acquittals, government reporting (including Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC); ABS HERD) and continuous systems and process improvement.

Provided pre and post-award management support for a complex portfolio of projects across Asia Pacific and Eastern and Southern Africa, ensuring compliance with donor and internal processes. This included contract and financial management of DFAT funded programs such as the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) ($6.5m) and the BEQUAL NGO Consortium in Laos ($6.9m). Line management of one Grants Officer.

Led a team of 5 staff to manage a $27 million per annum Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) block grant, funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade. This included strategic portfolio allocation, compliance management, grant reporting and donor engagement for 75+ ANCP and other grant-funded projects throughout Asia Pacific and Africa.

Provided operational support to the Director, Government & Multilaterals and team managers for whole-of-department performance, annual business planning and continuous improvement. Accountable to drive departmental projects / initiatives and key interface into the broader organisation, in aspects of strategy, operations, and performance. Management of two (2) FTE.

Responsible for leading cross-functional and multi-disciplinary bid teams to develop and secure grants from the Australian Government and other international donors. Led proposal design workshops in Australia and overseas with local and international NGO partners.

Supported the development of grant proposals, including proposal budget development. Led the development of key business processes and standard operating procedures for grant acquisition and developed a grant opportunity pipeline tracker.

Supported the International Programs Group in strategic financial planning and allocation of funding. Provided management accountant support for annual business planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Strong client service focused role supporting World Vision Australia's Policy & Programs Group to monitor and manage a US$200m project field budget. Responsible for the development of a strategic funding allocation framework, monthly cost centre reporting to senior executives and review of project budgets. Conducted regular financial monitoring and risk analysis of the project portfolio.

Provided internal audit services for clients including Cadbury Schweppes, BlueScope Steel, Foster’s Group, Metricon Homes and Health Scope Ltd. Provided external IT audit support for testing of key controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
