I have nearly 30 years experience in the NHS, both from a primary care (GP partner) as well as a secondary care (hospital doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and self employed (locum) perspective. Additionally, I am involved in different levels of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, mentoring, as well as being a register member and speaker for UK-med which runs the UK Emergency Medical Team and other overseas projects.Using my skills in a voluntary capacity, I write, review and present education sessions (in person and remotely) for 'Bloody Good period', targeting refugees and asylum seekers. I also project lead and cook for 'Foodcycle' to combat food waste and loneliness in the local community and am part of a group rehabilitation project for child sex offenders through Circles UK. I also mentor for Birmingham university and REUK. I have lived in Germany, the USA and Sweden, travelled widely and am a dual national and bilingual in German and English.I am actively aiming to expand my interests in humanitarian work, community building, integration and organisational improvement through advisory, teaching and mentoring roles.
