I am a Licensed Counselor in the state of Georgia. After graduating from the University of Georgia’s Franklin School of Psychology, I went on to pursue a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southereastern University and completed my Masters at Argosy University in December 2012 with a Masters in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling. I am currently working for a private practice called Warnecke Professional Counseling as well as the Samaritan Counseling Center of Atlanta. My counseling style stems from the Rogerian view that people are in charge of their own lives, not the therapist. Collaboration between therapist and client is vital to help a person reach their goals and the ultimate level of desired happiness. I also come from a love based and humanistic mindset. Cognitive behavioral techniques are often used in my process as the approach has been proven to be effective in many diagnoses. My clients see a lot of results from the CBT work we do. To put it simply, it works! Mindfulness training and learning to appreciate the present is also an important aspect of my framework. Self love and acceptance are also important as well as a solution focused template. My interests include but are not limited to; quarter lifers, addiction, stress and anxiety, interpersonal relationships, adjustment challenges, life skills and growth, grief, parenting, ADHD and postpartum depression.
