As an artist, I routinely converse with my creative community. A repeat topic of conversation with creative peers is access to resources. While some artists don't know where to even begin to access funding, those who locate opportunities find the process unapproachable. The Artist Grant Navigator program was born as a way to be able to connect artists with grant opportunities, guiding them through the somewhat intimidating grant writing process, and directly connecting artists to fiscal sponsorship for specific grants. This special project was created to foster a healthier relationship to and understanding of the world of grants as an artist.

Anna Warfield Art is an MWBE certified LLC based in New York executing projects in the arts. As an artist, I work with fiber and original poems to create soft sculptures that engage with ideas of identity and unlearning. I received a 2023 NYSCA Artist grant, a 2023 Saltonstall Fellowship, and Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce HYPE Award in the Arts. I've exhibited with MAG Rochester, Johnson Museum of Art, Galleries at SUNY Oneonta, Roberson Museum, Evelyn Peeler Peacock Gallery, Site:Brooklyn Gallery, amongst others.With organizations and individuals I work on projects that challenge the current climate of the art world with a particular focus on the advancement of women and underrepresented minorities in the arts. I’ve worked on projects with and for ChaShaMa, NYFA, LUMA Projection Arts Festival, Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts, Tioga Arts Council, and Cornell University; as well as with individual artists such as Na Chainkua Reindorf, Patrick Karambizi, Carrie Mae Weems, and Elisabeth Haly Meyer.

We’ve always envisioned LUMA completely transforming Binghamton's urban core into something unrecognizable across festival weekend. Time and time again, we’ve successfully transformed buildings throughout the festival footprint into morphing multistory canvases - - - but what happens as you wander in between? We want the intrigue to continue. This brings me to LUMA Small Works. In LUMA 10, we’re looking for artwork that brings urban nooks and more intimate spaces to life, and I get to run this experiment

I began working with NYFA Learning to consult on and co-present their “Artist As Entrepreneur Program" in Ithaca, New York in 2022 where 27 artists came together to learn business essentials in the areas of art law, finance, marketing, and fundraising. The program encourages application of knowledge towards individual practices and is welcoming to creators at any stage in their career. Later, in 2023, I was able to contribute to their eLearning course both as an example of an artist "making it work" and as essential backend support. I’m currently working with NYFA Learning contributing to panels and occasionally co-leading their "Artist as Entrepreneur Program" as needed.
