I have a regular, non musical day job, but grew up playing the violin and had a wonderful teacher. As I look back I have realized that so many of the skills and successes I have had tie directly into the brain mapping that happened as a violin student. As a way to pay it forward I have taken on some violin students. My goal is to create a group of children and even adults that love music and will benefit from music and the impact it can and will have on your life as you learn an instrument and work to perfect your sound and ability. Even if you do not end up being a concert violinist you might end up as an amazing programmer, doctor, writer, mother, father, etc. I believe having a background in music carves positive pathways of learning in your brain that will guide you throughout your life, even overcoming learning and emotional difficulties.

Right out of college I accepted a sales role as I worked to find the perfect writing and editing role. I worked in magazine sales, radio sales, and promotional products. These roles were critical in building my professional skill set. I can work with anyone at any level within a company. I am very comfortable working with CEO's, VPs, and company presidents. I am also very approachable and work well with the staff members that get the work done. I came away from these roles with a strong sense of customer service, being a partner to my customers, not just glad to have them sign the contract and take the commission. I had customers return and continue to work with me because they knew I was their partner and there to help their business succeed. Although my career did not remain in sales it was and remains a critical part of my professional life now.
