As a Mental Health Support Worker at Together for Mental Wellbeing, I contribute to the recovery and wellbeing of those with a primary mental health diagnosis. I provide practical and emotional support, help with daily living skills, and encourage social inclusion and participation. I have completed Level 3 First Aid Training and achieved Certification in Diabetes, Anaphylaxis and Wound Care. I have over two years of experience in the social care sector, having worked as a Senior Support Worker at Choice Care Group. I am also a passionate learner, currently pursuing a Certificate of Higher Education in Psychology, Social Science and Wellbeing at The Open University, and studying a multitude of online diplomas with the Centre of Excellence (including but not limited to; Sensory Processing Disorder Awareness, Animal Assisted Therapy, Criminology and Forest Schooling).Achieved A-levels in Psychology, Communication and Culture, and Photography at Peter Symonds College. I am interested in the intersection of psychology, culture, and health, and how to improve the quality of life of people with diverse needs and backgrounds - both on personal and systemic/cultural levels. I have strong interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, and a deep understanding of learning disabilities, addiction and emotional distress.I am committed to the values of respect, empowerment, and compassion. I pride myself on my natural advocacy abilities and I am confident in leading others to help them continue their own development and learn best practice
