I work with the Performance Assurance Board (PAB), my colleagues at ELEXON and energy companies to ensure that we have robust plans in place to manage identified risks and errors to the settlement of energy used to balance the system. Currently working to put in place new assurance arrangements for Market Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS).Currently working to adapt our Performance Assurance Framework to support the Market Half Hourly Settlement Target Operating Model.

Managing the registration of Licensed generating plant and customer sites that are directly connected to the electricity Transmission System within our Central Systems to ensure that the right energy values are collected. These values are used in calculations to determine the amount each of the energy companies and trading companies need to pay or be paid to settle the energy used for balancing the system.

Working with other colleagues to reprocure the contract to run our Central Systems which are used to settle energy used for balancing the transmission system. My responsibilities included, scoping out our requirements, reviewing testing procedures, witnessing testing, communicating with our customers about the changes they needed to make to support the upgrade to a new system and detailing the impact of our internal responsibilities under the new contract to ensure those responsible were aware and had adequate procedures in place when the project was complete and we handed it over to the business as usual teams.
