I am a licensed HCA with a BA from The Evergreen State College who has a passion for understanding and working with people, particularly underserved communities. I have a natural curiosity coupled with a desire to learn new skills and impact humanity in a positive way.Professionally, I've worked directly with adults who have developmental disabilities for the last decade, I love working with this population. The skills I've learned through my time in this field of work are invaluable as no two days are alike. This has taught me to work well under pressure and manage challenging situations in creative ways as well as how to support others using techniques that only come from years of trial and error. I have a caring nature, and love working as part of a team towards a common goal. Prior to entering this field, I primarily worked as a bookseller and also have experience working in child care. As a bookseller, I was recognized as employee of the month on numerous occasions for my organizational skills, sales, and proficiency at the job. I am reliable, hard working, and dedicated to whatever I put my mind to. For those reasons, I am an asset to any employer.
