Nasa Develop Team Member
California and Oregon Ecological Forecasting Project:-Analyzed fog occurrence and trends with remote sensing using Terra MODIS and GOES-17 satellite imagery in Google Earth Engine.-Applied the machine learning random forest algorithm to model the relationship between climate variables and fog occurrence and used these models to project future fog occurrence in 2080.-Performed statistical and spatial data analysis utilizing the R programming environment and ArcGIS Pro.-Designed the team data management plan, and managed group data and file structure on Google Drive and Microsoft Teams to streamline the workflow.-Collaborated in creating deliverables for the team including a technical report, short video, website image and description, final maps, and PowerPoint presentation.DEVELOP is a dual capacity building 10-week program that provides professionals with an opportunity to improve and develop skills in GIS and remote sensing analyses using NASA Earth observations. The dual capacity allows members to learn new methodologies as well as apply them. The team members work with partner organizations to produce useful end products to hand off by the end of the term.
