Optimus Price is a SaaS company that provides software for price recommendation and demand forecasting based on historical sales.I have joined the company at the very beginning and assumed the role of head data scientist there. In the company, I was responsible for building general ML models from scratch. I worked on tailoring them to specific needs of particular clients and maintaining the SaaS code running these models. Our code run for Optimus Price clients with hundreds of thousands of products on a daily basis, measurably improving their revenue. I have built a team of data scientists to support growing number of clients. Together we formed a self-driven, continuously improving team which delivered new capabilities for price and stock recommendations. My work involved working with stakeholders within the company (other teams, product management) and with external clients.

Researcher and developer in a small specialised electronics company CSE. I was leading research in medical projects in the company. I apply signal processing techniques and develop software for ECG and pulsoxymeter devices developed internally. I have overseen porting of this software to embedded systems and mobile devices (Android).I was responsible for fine-tuning the developed system to different devices and working conditions based on large sets of data, as defined by prospective customers (e.g. adjustment of ECG processing to the needs of neonatal care unit).

I was researcher in R&D company Sabirmedical during which time I co-authored two European patents. I was working on applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques for medical (diagnostic) applications. I was in charge of a state-funded project aimed at automatic processing of ECG for computer aided diagnostics of heart condition. I was also involved in a project for reading biosignals for assessment of hemodynamic parameters. The project was aimed at significant reduction of possible infection risks for Intensive Care patients who need constant monitoring. My job consisted in parts of data analysis, signal processing and, finally, applying different ML/AI techniques to achieve specified diagnostically relevant goals. Majority of code development was using MATLAB, Python and C++. I was working as both: team member in a project and as well as project leader working on my own. I was supervising 2 junior researchers, writing scientific reports for investors and patents.

The aims of the project are developing an efficient and scalable content delivery network (CDN) for large scale (global) deployment. Main tools used in the project included: C++, Python, Django, MySQL. The application written in Python allows the user to organize and watch (listen to) media content from local resources and internet. It works on both Windows and Linux platforms. Tasks and responsibilities of the job:- take part in the design and implementation of new features, together with testing procedures to assure product quality- bug fixing of the application and reviewing the code written by others- writing documentation (including objectives and specifications of the new features)

The project was contracted by a big international banking company, and was in production use at this time. Responsibilities include:- support and maintenance of distributed financial database system, - code maintenance and bug fixing in C++ code,- deployment of new software releases for client offices worldwide (London, New York, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo),- planning and migration of the system to new platforms,- maintenance and development in multiple environments with which application interacts (Unix shell scripting, Excel VB macros, direct changes to Sybase databases etc.)
