My name is Anna Woods and I am originally from Nashville, TN. I am a junior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville studying Information Sciences with an emphasis on UX/UI design. My previous focus in journalism has given me a background in AP style writing and experience in reporting for various news outlets. During my time as a student, I have been able to participate in numerous roles and organizations that have allowed me to enhance my communication skills and contribute to various groups. I currently serve as a Brand Ambassador for the BlackSheep where I recruit and work with fellow ambassadors on marketing campaigns to launch various companies on campus. In this role, we have successfully advertised the services of GoPuff, the app Calm, and other brands by distributing promotional items, flyers, and evaluating customer experience. In 2023 I worked as a content contributor for Ablaze Magazine where I researched and wrote articles for the outlet pertaining to women on campus. I decided to advance my writing career by studying abroad in Prague where I practiced and reported as an active foreign correspondent. I am an active member of my sorority-Kappa Delta, new member of The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), part-time radio-deejay for WUTK 90.3 The Rock, and long-time server at Cherokee Country Club. I enjoy getting involved in various communities and look forward to honing in on my design and research skills. I am excited to connect and discover new opportunities!
