Previously employed as a Registered Energy Advisor (MURB, QAS, FBC, PQEA) with EnerTech Solutions Ltd, Before that I acted as an Invasive Species Consultant with a local municipality, after being self-employed for the last fifteen years building my own sustainable house with a focus on energy efficiency and low-carbon construction. Building operation and construction is one of the largest contributors to carbon emissions, so I really enjoy helping address this on the local level on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, working at the interface between research and real-world construction solutions, and supporting energy-efficiency, low-carbon construction, and carbon sequestration in new homes and existing home renovations.
