Oversees finances to ensure the highest integrity in the receipt, disbursement, handling, and storage of all church financial assets. Works with Lead Pastor to develop a budget that maintains the stewardship responsibilities of the church and its ministries.Ensures that policies and procedures are in place and are enforced that protect the assets of the church and mitigate risk to the ongoing operation of the church.Provides financial disclosure to church leadership, the treasurer, members, and others characterized by accuracy, transparency, and usability.Ensures compliance with governmental entities, insurers, lenders, and other entities as required.As a member of the executive leadership team, helps develop short and long-term strategies plans to guide the church according to its mission and ministries.Works with the elder board to make the best use of the property to carry out the mission of the church. Ensure that the property is cared for in the most effective and efficient manner from a long-term perspective. Ensure that any use of the property by third parties results in the most beneficial outcome to Lake Sawyer Church and is consistent with the mission of Lake Sawyer. Ensure that safety and security for staff, volunteers, members, and visitors are top priorities and are always executed to the highest level. Direct supervision for operations administrative and facilities staff and volunteers and is ultimately responsible for success of these areas.Ensure the information technology infrastructure is adequate, cost effective, sufficiently reliable, and secure to serve the church staff and volunteers effectively and efficiently.

Collect, process, and post weekly contributions & payments (cash, checks, online credit card payments).Maintain appropriate and accurate financial records, such as: accounts receivable; accounts payable; payroll; general ledger; bank account reconciliations; tax reporting; Joyful Noise Christian Preschool records.In conjunction with church leadership and ministry heads, create and manage annual $1.8 million operating budget.Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, as well as other financial reports, to assess for accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.Prepare monthly financial reports for Treasurer and Elders.Compile necessary documentation for annual external audit.Manage overall provision of human resource services to include administering payroll and benefits for 25 employees; employee on-boarding; policy development and documentation; employee relations and communication; personnel file maintenance.Maintain commercial liability insurance coverage; review contracts and agreements to ensure appropriate insurance and liability transfer clauses are clearly stated; monitor expiration dates, ensuring continuous coverage at all times; and provide Certificates of Insurance as requested. Maintain non-profit exemption, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal agencies.Develop, implement, modify and document recordkeeping strategies.Provide basic network and software support; liaison to IT managed services provider. Offer key support to Executive Director and Lead Pastor.

Other roles and responsibilities included managing client billing; contract reviews; dispatching field personnel; coordinating test specimen collection; processing and distributing field & test reports to project team members; provide network and software support and computer maintenance.Former ICC Special Inspector certifications in reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, structural masonry, structural steel/welding, and spray-applied fireproofing; former WABO Special Inspector in reinforced concrete.Former Concrete Placement and Batch Plant Instructor for Northwest Council of Engineering Labs providing beginning concrete inspectors the knowledge and skills in order to perform batch plant and concrete placement inspection in preparation for obtaining WABO certification.
