I have previously worked as an assistant for the lead teacher in the kindergarten classroom by helping monitor student learning and progress throughout the 2021-2022 and the 2022-2023 school year. I have cleaned and sanitized the kindergarten classroom at the end of the day to ensure student and teacher safety. Other responsibilities include subbing in the VPK and 2 year old classrooms when either the lead teacher or teacher’s assistant is out, and ensuring that the playground that the students utilize during recess are safe and clean. I also help to set out and put away any toys/equipment students might use during recess.

Cares for children for multiple families ranging in ages from 3 and up. Also has experience in caring for children as young as a month old.

During my time as a Master’s level clinical social work intern at Orlando Health with the REACH program, my role was to help patients connect with community resources after being discharged from the hospital. I also worked with identifying support needs for patients and their families, develops action plan(s), and provide creative guidance in initiating and overcoming any self-management strategies.

During my time as a Master’s level clinical social work intern, I developed the ability to take proficient notes and curate well-written progress notes for clients seen with supervisor and/or co-facilitator. I took the lead on several sessions with clients with supervisor by creating a safe space for clients to process feelings and concerns, while providing empathetic listening and unconditional positive regard. I also had the opportunity to facilitate several therapeutic activities with child and adolescent clients that aided in their ability to develop coping skills and strategies when experiencing ‘big’ emotions. More specifically with clients, I was able to establish rapport effectively with several clients seen with supervisor and/or co-facilitator and also observed and demonstrated skills necessary to complete an intake session and assessment.

During my time as a Bachelors’s level generalist social work intern, I curated and presented numerous PowerPoints on various psychoeducation topics to students in grades 9 to 12. In regards to student engagement while at school, I assisted the school social worker in meeting with students as part of their IEP plan, met with students individually to see how they were and to offer any assistance, and helped de-escalate students when in crisis. When handling truancy, I helped to collaborate with the school social worker and discipline team to assess how behavior and check-in data impacts truancy and attendance, helped school social worker in identifying barriers affecting attendance and connecting students and families to appropriate resources and sat-in on student study meetings, manifestation meetings, record reviews, and mental health caseload meetings. Other tasks involved assisting the school social worker in conducting home visits, conducting 1530s and needs assessments for students and their families and learning how to take a holistic approach to truancy work.
