Co-I and the academic lead for the Bulgarian Black Sea Transition Coastal Laboratory in the three-year Horizon Europe consortium EmpowerUs (2022-2025): a multi- and transdisciplinary, collaborative project that supports coastal communities in their transition to becoming more environmentally, economically and socially sustainable. Conducting research in Bulgaria in close collaboration with the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation.

Responsible for designing, developing, and in its first year coordinating the innovative and interdisciplinary master's program “Environment and Society” (2022-), adapting cutting-edge environmental humanities research into pedagogical content. Successfully navigated a complex multi-year legal process to establish the program in full compliance with Bavarian and European higher education standards. Through extensive collaborative talks with scholars and administrators at multiple faculties and departments at LMU Munich, negotiated access for students in the program to over 40 electives from across the university catalogue, spanning the humanities, social, and natural sciences.Conducting research social and environmental change, particularly in maritime environments, as well as on the intersection of environmentalism and integration across the EU. Teaching portfolio at the master's level includes the survey of methods for environment and society, as well as a range of courses with thematic focus on societal and political issues of the environment, including tourism, futures thinking, and understanding types of property and the commons. At the doctoral level, have taught soft skills workshops (together with Alessandro Rippa and Roger Norum) focused on productivity, presentations, writing, and career planning among others.

Shared responsibility (with Christof Mauch and Simone Müller) for delivering the defense of a successful €1,000,000 Hochschule der Zukunft (University of the Future) funding bid to the Volkswagen Foundation in May 2019.Organized a first-of-its-kind international workshop on teaching environmental humanities at the RCC in November 2019 with participants from across five continents.Conducted research social and environmental change, particularly in maritime environments, as well as on the intersection of environmentalism and integration across the EU.

Selected as one of twelve Early Stage Researchers in a competitive application for an EU-funded doctoral program. Conducted research into conflicting narratives about environment and society on the Bulgarian Black Sea and the Yorkshire North Sea shores. Collaborated with researchers across the EU, with partner universities and non-academic institutions in Stockholm, Leeds, and Munich. Co-organised major international 2016 conference "The Future of Wild Europe", as well as different outreach and training events.

Assisted with instruction, preparation, and grading of undergraduate courses within the Department of Marine Affairs. Worked with undergraduate students to help improve their performance. Courses taught include: GIS Applications in Coastal and Marine Management; Quantitative Methods in Marine Affairs; New England and the Sea; and Introduction to Marine Affairs.

Served as project leader and lead author for the composition of Step by Step in Bulgaria, a book exploring the youth urban initiative Free Sofia Tour in the context of Bulgarian EU integration. Co-authored the Children's Tour, an educational interactive tour for children aged 7-14. Continue to serve seasonally as tour guide at Free Sofia Tour, the free twice-daily guided walks of Bulgaria's capital.

As an intern, helped work towards Teach for Bulgaria's mission of providing every Bulgarian child with access to quality education. Specifically, I provided support with recruiting host schools for the program through maintaining the institutional contacts and school applications CRM database, carrying out calling campaigns and assisting with event planning and execution. Worked with students in a highly international setting both inside and outside of the classroom as teaching intern, adviser, and dorm parent. Performed administrative tasks, including help with event and Academic Travel planning. Worked with a parliamentary representative to help prepare and polish the text of his upcoming speeches for the European Commission. Helped synthesize and communicate public concerns through writing inquiries to members of the Parliament for the official weekly parliamentary control. Observed debates and a vote of no confidence.
