I am a third-year student at the Kelley School of Business pursuing a degree in Marketing and minoring Merchandising. My ability to go between my skills of being an empathetic leader and a creative problem solver have made me an ideal employee in any situation. In high school, I was involved in a handful organizations, however my main activity was employment. Over time, I rose through the ranks at my various positions such as becoming PSIAA-Level 1 certified in ski instructing and moving from Sales Associate to Brand Ambassador Manager in my position at SLFMKR. In all of these positions I worked with teammates to plan lessons or successful events, however, what made me most successful in these positions was my ability to come up with creative solutions to difficult and complex issues. I prioritized solving these problems through creative and strategic way, working to make the marketing material or the ski lesson more effective. My peers then grew to trust and believe strongly in my abilities to lead and problem solve. In the future, I am excited for the opportunity to work in the retail field and further my education and leadership abilities. I look forward to finding a career which allows me to be creative yet still brings in the skills which intrigue me so much and drew me to marketing in the first place. Above all I want to foster a diverse and accepting community in my future work place of choice.
