I spent over 12 years with Treasury Canada between 2007 and 2019 as a corporate treasury controller (lead treasury business analyst):• Provided funding to the Canadian businesses (managed cash pools and manually administered 8 billion of intercompany loans - including hedging of cross border loans). • Worked with the BD team on most Canadian business acquisitions and sales. Integrated the newly acquired businesses to the standard GE Treasury platforms. • Led or participated in dozens of large reorganizations for over a decade. Received CEO award.• Fulfilled complete treasury function for close to 40 Canadian corporate and offshore entities (in Japan, Europe, Barbados, USA).• Continuously executed corporate FX management (hedging, monitoring, analysis).• Worked on bank account management (yearly audit of all Canadian bank accounts; opening, closing and modifying bank accounts across several banking platforms).• Initiated and cancelled trade financing instruments (LOC, Surety bonds etc.).• Set up Tax Online Payment System to pay all types of tax payments to tax authorities.• Set up and managed a Canadian cash desk.• Prepared consolidated and individual financial statements according to CAD/US GAAP and and prepared regulatory financial statements due to SIFI. CLIENT- GE SECURITY: Leading a team of 9-12, we have provided complete GL, AP, AR and other sophisticated accounting services to many of the European countries. My team was responsible for 4-6 countries, such as France, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. We have provided very complex accounting and financial processes, have led the closing and reporting processes, have ensured supplemental schedules are prepared timely and in strict accordance with GE closing instructions (including monthly and quarterly reporting according to the US GAAP, US GAAP adjustments etc.), have driven the establishment, implementation and compliance with all accounting and controllership policies and have interfaced with Corporate and statutory auditors (SOX including).PROJECTS :* led the transfer of our Payment system.* completed Vendor database update in The Netherlands.* led the transition of Visiowave to our center- two entities’ AP and complete GL processes. Also 4 other countries were transitioned and I was heavily involved in those transitions as well.*combined two operating units in Oracle, defined and put the Vendor Setup process under control.
