During my school-age years, I often found ways to be of service to others, whether that was through helping my teachers organize their classroom or grade papers, coaching my peers through a tough math problem, or volunteering for my local community. I found joy in realizing that my knowledge and skills could be used to make life easier for someone else. This fact about myself became clearer as I stepped into my role as a resident advisor and then an elementary school teacher. From developing rich learning experiences and providing resources to relationship building and discovering more about my learners, I gained an even deeper satisfaction in work that allows me to help others learn and grow. I do not do this work in a vacuum. I value empathy and active listening to establish connections and further my understanding of the problem or need at hand. That, combined with the gathering and analysis of relevant data points, is the formula I use to produce learning solutions that get the job done and more. Over the past 4 years, I have used my learning solutions to yield double-digit percentage growth in learners’ mastery, engagement, and goals. I have collaborated with cross-functional teams to conduct needs analyses and pave a path for success. I strive to continue this kind of work and am driven by watching learners and the organization reach their development goals. To me, through effective learning solutions, anything is possible.
