I’m excited to share that I’ve joined NK Tutoring as an Associate Tutor, offering bespoke Science and Maths tuition to students at GCSE and A Level. Looking forward to help students build their confidence and achieve their full potential!

This summer, I completed an 8-week placement with WSP UK, working with the Building Structures team. During this time, I gained hands-on experience in engineering consultancy, contributing to real-world projects and expanding my understanding of the Civil Engineering industry. Key Highlights:- Galliford Crescent, Cardiff: Visited a 32-storey high-rise building set to become the tallest residential structure in Wales. At the time of my visit, construction was at the first-floor level, and I had the opportunity to view the recently completed cantilever, designed to support 31 storeys above a pedestrian accessway.- Meeting the COO, Mathieu du Plooy: Discussed with the 'Early Career Professionals' Group, the importance of being curious as an Engineer amongst other valuable pieces of advice in navigating through the industry and management skills.- Dyson's £100m Research and Development Hub: Visited the site in it's early stages of construction. Key structural elements such as steal beams with spanning joists were recently installed which I could see, alongside the calculations used to determine their dimensions.- Wrote up numerous Stage 3 RIBA Detailed Design Commentaries for different aspects of design for a Learning Disabilities Unit in Swansae. Examples being lintels, roof trusses, steel beams, ground bearing slabs and strip footings.I feel my passion for Civil Engineering has been solidified in this experience and I am so grateful for the support and mentoring given to me throughout the placement from my team. I'm eager to apply the skills and knowledge I've gained as I continue my studies.
