I have had a varied and exciting career to date since graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a BA (Hons) in English Literature.My first job after University was with Nottingham Trent Students Union after getting voted in as Services, Finance and Marketing Officer by my fellow students. In this role, all main decisions affecting the Union and the day to day running of it were made by the elected Executive Committee to which I was a member. During my employment I also became editor of our Students Union Magazine after the resignation of our previous editor for a period of eight months alongside my own job. After completing my elected year at Nottingham Trent Students Union, I moved home to Hull where I became editor of a local magazine called 24seven Lifestyle Magazine for three years where I was responsible for producing and overseeing the entire content of the monthly magazine. I then moved onto 10d Creative where I was employed as Marketing Manager, becoming responsible for all the marketing information both in and out of house. One month into my role I was drafted into run the photography studio due to staff shortages. I stayed in this role for 3 months where I managed a group of over 8 people including photographers, re-touchers and food stylists.I then moved companies to AAK, as a Foodservice Product Manager. For a year and a half, I was responsible for all the marketing associated with our Foodservice brands including websites, support literature, exhibition stands, brochures and other point of sale material. I then moved into our Retail section where I ran the marketing team as a Retail Product Manager.I then moved onto Wyke Sixth Form College to be a Marketing & Liaison Officer. I was at Wyke for four and a half years and I completed a PGCE whilst at Wyke to teach English.After completing my degree I gained employment as Head of Sixth Form at an Independent School called Tranby (formally Hull Collegiate School). I teach English, PE, EPQ & Enrichment. I have now been promoted internally and my new job role is Assistant Head (Pastoral).
