Flare Dance Ensemble is a non-profit dance organisation from Melbourne University, which provides free dance classes and performance opportunities, in a variety of styles, to all our members of varying experience and ability. As Co Artistic Director I perform a supervisory role to the ensemble's committee, I direct and manage our three annual performances, as well as trial and mentor our teachers and choreographers. Alongside this, I am often the liaison between the ensemble and external venue management, frequently working with the University of Melbourne's Student Union and Union House Theatre management team. I am also tasked with managing and distributing all our casting data. Whenever possible, I love to teach and choreograph for the ensemble too.

Artists for Africa enhances the lives of children living in the most impoverished areas of Kenya through arts programs and educational opportunities. I do a number of tasks for A4A, including managing their social media and updating their website.

For this short internship I predominantly worked alongside the head of special projects, tasked with grant applications, strategic planning, and helping to design a First Nations Charter. I also helped the HR department with a few short projects, as well as examining audience data with the marketing team and attending a variety of meetings with the production team. I am grateful for the opportunity, and want to thank everyone at QB for making me feel so welcome.

I taught ballet and pointe to intermediate and advanced level students, including adult classes and individual exam coaching. I also co-managed auditions and designed a 12-week intensive training program for new dance teachers who had no previous teaching experience. I trained the teachers in classical ballet and contemporary dance.
