I am a dedicated and enthusiastic person seeking new employment opportunities. I am an experienced public servant with strong project management, policy, administrative, research and governance skills. I have experience providing policy advice, building relationships with stakeholders, preparing written documents, and managing deadlines. I am studying the Juris Doctor at Sydney University Law School part-time. (Commonwealth Supported Place). I have a Bachelor of Social Science and Policy with a major in Criminology and a Master of Public Policy and Research which was awarded with a distinction average. My tertiary education developed my knowledge and understanding of policy making processes, the role and function of government and crime and justice issues. Work Experience I was employed at the NSW Police Force, Office of the Commissioner in the Strategic Priorities and Identity Unit as a Policy Officer (ARP Senior Policy officer). Working for the NSW Police Force gave me the opportunity to plan and implement high level, complex multiagency projects; develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and prepare high quality written correspondence. I was employed at the NSW Ministry of Health as a Policy and Research Officer in the Maternity, Youth, Child and Paediatrics Branch where I gained experience evaluating programs and policy. This work included data analysis, report writing, drafting publications, coordinating meetings, developing training programs etc. I was also seconded to the Prevention Against Violence Abuse and Neglect Branch where I was responsible for providing policy advice and program support for the Child Protection and Welfare unit. I commenced my career in the public service as a Policy and Research officer at the Department of Defence in 2012. I worked in multiple areas including the Acquisition, Capability and Sustainment Group, Navy Strategic Command, Defence Legal and the Audit and Control Division. Research ExperienceI conducted a research project in 2010 for the Salvation Army titled - Towards social inclusion: fostering social inclusion, among the disadvantaged, in the Salvations Army’s community centre Street Level. This research had affinity with the Governments Social Inclusion Agenda. I developed research reports, centred on policy reform, at the completion of my research. Both reports were published with an acknowledgement of my contribution.
