- Worked as an intern with the special education program at Burr & Burton Academy in my junior year from January-June 2021.- Primarily worked under a 1:1 paraprofessional teacher and student, observing various students' learning habits based on their disability. - I observed how an occupational therapist works with different students and their needs. For example, teaching a student how to write their name and hold a pencil. - I administered different activities with small groups of students such as grocery shopping, cooking lunch, baking cookies, cleaning up, arts and crafts, and reading books.
