We tested previously made compounds against biofilm formation, used data collected (along with past BOMM data) our research group devised a hypothesis and designed six new compounds to test against biofilms, then used solid-phase synthesis techniques, we constructed the compounds, purified them, and tested them in the biofilm assay. Then constructed a research paper and presentation to display our findings. Completing an entire iteration of the drug discovery process.

- Assisted with surgical procedures during oral surgery to assist in the care of patients - Prepared instruments and equipment to ensure items are sterile and available for procedures- Performed and documented the patient’s vitals and prepped patient for surgeon’s procedure- Removed IVs as ordered by the physician - Provided patients with instructions for oral care pre/post operatively to help maintain the patient’s oral health and increase positive outcomes of surgery
