Researching cross-application of Semantic Indexing and Machine Learning (computer vision, NLP, graph embeddings) techniques to improve the quality and usability of Knowledge Bases.Project MonaLIA sponsored by the French Ministry of Culture I designed algorithms and tools to enhance and complete the Joconde knowledge base of artworks and help the museum curators to quickly and correctly annotate the new artworks. This project was awarded two extensions and the results were published in a peer-reviewed article.For the project ISSA (Indexation Sémantique d'une archive scientifique et Services Associes pour la science ouvert) I've built a processing pipeline that creates a semantic index of a corpus of scientific articles that is published as a public RDF knowledge graph. The pipeline employs multiple NLP and ML techniques to process and annotate text with domain-specific descriptors and named entities linked to Wikidata, DBpedia, and GeoNames linked datasets. This open-source pipeline is adaptable to any open document archive.Developed a set of tutorial notebooks that combine querying Knowledge Graphs using SPARQL and applying statistical analysis and modeling using R. The tutorials demonstrate accessing and querying the knowledge graph endpoints, visualizing descriptive statistics, applying regression and classification models, and time series analysis. https://github.com/Wimmics/kgstat/tree/main
