C2 Studio Topic: Time Machine —— Digital Cultural Heritage in the “Gray Box”German writer Judith Schalansky believes that the Origin of Civilization lies in the Experience of the Losses. In our age of Digital Media, how could we rethink the correlation through the History and the Future? This Playshop focuses on the topic of Digital Cultural Heritage, exploring the Duality between Memory and Oblivion, Individual and Collective, Culture and Nature, Touchable and Intangible, Material and Transcendental, as well as Virtual and Physical. By blurring the well-established Disciplinary Frames of Art and Technology, “Gray Box” as the Time Machine will be created—— A Mixture of Black Box Theater and White Box Gallery. Through New Media Technology and Performance, we will unveil the Cultural and Spiritual World Beyond the limitation of Materiality, linking the Past, the Present and the Future with unleashed imagination.

B14 Studio Topic: A THOUSAND “BODIES” MULTIMEDIA RESEARCH AND EXPRESSION ON BODYBody has long been an essential topic in art, extending into the topic of motion, form, emotion, memory, etc. Artists have always engaged in embodying the intangible and capturing the dynamic. In this era of technology, media and data, all art process went online and flatten into 2D. We feel obliged to bring out the question: What is the contemporary identification of the body? How to transmit, maintain and present the liveliness of the body from physicality to reality? How to push beyond the boundary of concept and tech, in order to create innovative experience beyond the “black box” theater and “white box” gallery? What’s our role in creating, speculating, iterating and appreciating through the whole process?
