I am Data Privacy Manager working for a leading UK news publisher, previously working in financial services. CIPP/E qualified. I am the lead on data privacy in the organisation and help it comply with its legal obligations and avoid big GDPR fines! I regularly liase with all departments across the company, including Legal and senior management, to ensure data protection and data privacy are emebedded in the organisation - with the aim of protecting the personal data we hold as well as enabling innovation in a privacy-safe way. I possess first-class communication skills, both written and oral. I have extensive experience in training and mentoring new team members, writing guidance and policies, conducting DPIAs, processing all manner of data requests including complex SARs and FOIs, reviewing DPAs and sharing knowledge across the organisation.I also speak French and spent several years studying and working in France. I graduated from the University of Bristol with an upper second class honours degree in Geography.
