I lead the establishing and maintaining of a Global Management System and contribute to the development and implementation of a Business Excellence strategy for Engines Partnership Program Office.I work closely with Program and Commercial Excellence teams to ensure an integrated approach and consistent management of functional practices across all Program Office areas.I’m accountable for consolidating, challenging and reporting key management information in line with the overall business review and governance structure for the Business Line.I provide professional support to functional teams, including coaching and training of practitioners to enable outstanding performance.An important part of the role is to champion organizational learning as well as to lead change initiatives that will accelerate development of a mature Program Office organization.

This is a global role that sits within the Integrated Rolls-Royce Program Team. My responsibility is to lead the development and maintenance of the manufacturing definition and ME related activities within the Program through its life cycle. The CME leads the multi-functional Manufacturing Engineering team across all sites that is deployed into the Program as the primary representative for ME at all program / technical reviews & externally with customer & suppliers. My responsibility as a Quality manager within Design Engineering covers Quality Leaders and Process Leader for Product Development & Technical Product Support within the Engineering organization . In combination develop GKN’s future Knowledge Management System and also responsible for the Lean integration after GKN acquired Volvo Aero.

After my training becoming a therapist, I had my own small business offering personal development during evenings over a period of 4 years, parallel being a manager. I made a closure on my business in 2014, to focus on the role within Engineering. I believe Operational Development made me interested in relationships and culture, and looking from a wider perspective I’m confident when saying; Organizations are nothing without it’s people. Leadership, change management, continuous improvement and personal development are my strong areas.

Over a period of 6 years I was working as a production manager. i) First responsible for the Tay combustions (RR) with around 30 employees i.e. (ME, planning, turning-, milling-, chemical milling-, inspection-, welding-, bench-, deburring-, grinding-operators). ii) Then acting as a Component Area Manager, with 3 production manager reporting in during a period of 10 months and at the same time outsourcing the Tay department. Having the challenge to transform the business and prepare my employees for new roles. iii) Working as a manager for the LPT shop with around 25 employees i.e. (PME, ME, turning- milling, CBN grinding-, grinding-, inspection-operators). During these years we started the serious Lean journey with transforming production to Value streams, visual management, standard work, coaching leaders and began the cultural mindset change.2007-2009 Production manager (Combustions)2009-2010 Component Area manager ( Small and medium components)2010-2013 Production manager (Low Pressure Turbines)

My journey within Operational Development kicked-off after my Six Sigma Black Belt training at General Electric back in 1999. I’ve been working with Lean in several ways regardless of role. I was headhunted for the implementation when starting off Lean at Volvo Aero in 2001. Organizing seminars to express strategic reasoning and goals. Formulate leaders, coaching CI-leaders and groups, and in recent years also trained in GKN’s Lean Enterprise and responsible for implementing, organizing and train leaders in Lean.

Cincinnati was my hometown for 2 years during my expatriate time overseas. I had responsibility for all our spare part for CF6-80A/C/E, Commercial engines and the logistics that comes with the job to organize and communicate between suppliers and customer relationships.
