Uia Team Lead Contractor

Portage, Michigan, United States

Beginning my position as an agent, I started working on the MiWAM access project where I quickly learned how to contact, communicate, and assist claimants with getting them into their online accounts. After about 2 months, around June, the project for the team I was on changed to assist claimants with identity verification. On this project we learned how to determine fraudulent identification from legitimate ones, what is acceptable documentation based on I-9 standards, contacting claimants to verify or request photographic identification, and clearing good ID's or alerting the proper channels to potential fraudulent accounts. Finally in July my team began working with taking regular calls inbound and assisting with certification troubleshooting issues. After two weeks on this project I was promoted to Team Lead and moved to my second team to begin assisting agents who were receiving inbound calls to troubleshoot more complex accounts. After being with that team for several weeks I was shifted once again to a new team where I'm now responsible still for assisting agents on complex calls, but I'm also active in assisting this team with job shadowing new agents, occasionally teaching/presenting in team meetings topic(s) that can assist agents in helping claimants, sharing important documentation with the team, and other duties as needed. All work and communication is done using Microsoft Teams, MiDAS, MiLogon, Nice In Contact/MaxAgent, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), and a VPN.
